Today, we're thrilled to introduce you to Kim Andersson, whose debut fabric collection, *Tidal Lace*, is set to launch this September with Windham Fabrics. Inspiration for *TIDAL LACE* stems from two distinct experiences in my life. First, I remember spending countless hours playing with lengths of trim and lace in my grandmother’s ballet shop during my childhood. I was captivated by their intricate patterns and delicate details.
The second source of inspiration came from a family trip to a picturesque coastal town. One unforgettable morning, we woke up early to catch the low tide and explore the tide pools. It was magical—we discovered a world teeming with life, each pool revealing surprises that others might have missed.
*TIDAL LACE* is my artistic interpretation of lace intertwined with the wonders of tide pools—a celebration of vibrant colors, intricate textures, and the joy of discovery.

As an avid fan of Oliver + S patterns, I was eager to see how these fabrics would look in their designs. There’s something truly special about Liesl’s attention to detail, which makes every piece unique. Narrowing down the projects wasn’t easy, given the array of beautiful options. Once we settled on the final patterns, we had immense fun experimenting with the fabrics and watching them come alive in these timeless designs.
For the *TIDAL LACE* lookbook, we chose several standout pieces. The *Puppet Show Shorts* are adorable, featuring gathered pockets that add a playful touch. Paired with the *Badminton Top*, complete with its charming shoulder ruffles, it’s a combination I adore. The Oliver + S separates blend beautifully, creating versatile outfits.
We also included two dresses for the girls. The *Pinwheel Slip Dress* has a delightful flounce, while the *Roller Skate Dress* is both fun and sophisticated—a perfect wardrobe staple. (Liesl, if you ever decide to make this in adult sizes, count me in!) And let’s not forget the *Reversible Bucket Hats*, which became an instant favorite. They’re so stylish and practical!
