Taiwanese Textile Manufacturers Get Large Orders at ISPO Expo in Munich

The Taiwan Textile Industry Association (TTF) said that at the 2012 ISPO Munich Global Sports Products Expo held from January 19 to February 1 this year, Taiwanese textile manufacturers received a large order value of US$2.6 million.

The Taiwan Spinning Association added that Taiwanese textile manufacturers may also receive orders of US$25 million.

The Taiwan Pavilion has more than 2,000 visitors and is the largest booth at this year's expo.

More than 70% of outdoor sports functional fabrics used by American and European brands are supplied by Taiwanese textile manufacturers.

At least six overseas outdoor sportswear companies have stated that they include LAFUMA, Haglofs and VAUDE Sports, GMBH & COKG, who are interested in participating in the Taipei Textile App Fair held in April this year.

The Taiwan Textile Development Association (TTF) said that the ISPO provided Taiwanese textile companies with a good opportunity to promote their entry into the international market.

Munich International Expo Group Co., Ltd. is the organizer of the trade fair. The company stated that the next fair will be held from February 3rd to 6th, 2013.
